What file formats are supported by Lima?

Lima supports the main formats that are supported natively on each platform. All files supported by your devices will preview in the Lima app automatically. The Lima Apps also allow you to open files using other apps that support the file type.

Open a file with another app

1. Tap and/or swipe left on the file you'd like to export to another app. 
2. Tap the sharing icon that shows an upward arrow coming out of a box.
3. Tap the Open With... icon from the menu. A list of apps that can open the file will appear. Select the app you'd like to open the file.

Note: Once you export the file to another app, any changes to the file may not be saved back to your Lima drive.

We plan to add support for background re-encoding to improve compatibility & streaming on mobile phones over cellular data in the future.

On Windows, you can play many different music, video, and picture file types.
